Dennis Gene Young

North English- Dennis Gene Young was born April 4, 1952 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Herbert William & Thorton Josephine (Dunbar) Young. He graduated from North English High School in 1970. Dennis worked in the grocery store industry throughout his career. He most recently worked for Freeman Foods in North English. He enjoyed working, walking and mowing his yard. Dennis died on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in North English at the age of 69 years.

He is survived by a sister Delrene (Craig) Harris of Iowa City; a brother Desmond (Dee) Young of Mt. Pleasant; two half sisters Margaret Finley of Mt. Pleasant and Jody Scott of Washington; a half brother Lance (Amber Hagans) Young of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; a brother Bill Young; and a half brother Almond Finley.
