Delores Ann Rodgers, age 64, of Grinnell and formerly Des Moines & North English, died Sunday, December 4, 2005, following a long illness at Friendship Manor Care Center in Grinnell. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English with Pastor James Stout officiating. Burial will follow in the Brethren Cemetery near South English. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM until service time. She is survived by sons Ronnie Long and Dennis Westerhouse; a sister Donna Loux (Duan) of Des Moines, IA and brothers Darrell Wallace (Eileen) of Oxford and Kenneth Wallace (Linda) of Montezuma, IA. Messages and Tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com under obituaries. Delores Ann Rodgers was born on March 16, 1941 in Burlington, KS, a daughter of Walter and Lenora Talley Wallace. Delores attended school in Kinross and in North English and graduated from North English High School. She lived most of her life in Des Moines where she worked hotel housekeeping. She loved cats and puppies. She became a resident of Friendship Manor Care Center in Grinnell in June 2002. Delores was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
