Deborah Louise Duvall was born August 4, 1949, in Livermore, Kentucky, the daughter of Kenneth and Wilma Abbott Duvall. She attended Western Middle School in Louisville Kentucky. She married Kenneth Whitler, Sr. To this union Kenny, Rodney and Dawn were born. The couple later divorced. Debbie and Dawn moved to Iowa in 1982. While she was working at Amana Woolen Mills, she met Ernie and they were married on July 3, 1993, in rural Marengo. With this marriage she was blessed with five children to call her own. Debbie was employed at Amana Refrigeration until her retirement. She loved to fish and her hummingbirds. Debbie and Dawn never missed an opportunity to hit up a thrift store or a local garage sale. She enjoyed Netflix, videogaming, or any game with the children. Debbie’s kids would like everyone to know with her illness she had a positive attitude and enjoyed life to the fullest. (awesome person) Family was most important to Debbie, and she cherished all the time she spent with them. She was a better mom than any of us deserved. Debbie will be greatly missed by many. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walford and had a deep faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
