Dean Edward Gorsch

Brooklyn- Dean E Gorsch was born October 29, 1958, in Sigourney, Iowa the son of Edward Louis and Marilyn Elaine (Wyant) Gorsch. He graduated from Deep River Millersburg High School in 1977. He worked at Amana Refrigeration for many years. Dean served on the Blairstown Fire Dept., and was an EMT on the Blairstown Ambulance. He enjoyed hunting, cooking and gardening. Dean died on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Brooklyn Community Estates, at the age of 65 years.

He is survived by two daughters Lyndsey (AJ) Kaiser of Marion and Amy (Bo) Benesh of Blairstown; four grandchildren Kylie & Mollie Kaiser and Camren & Kacie Benesh; siblings Mary Lou (Bill) McFadden, Jackie (Dave) Peiffer and Leanne Hendrix all of Cedar Rapids, Ron (Belinda) Gorsch of Deep River, Dwain Gorsch of North English, Dawn Moore of Sand Springs, OK, Lori (Duaine) Campbell of North English and Mick (Donna) Gorsch of Millersburg; a sister-in-law Anne Gorsch of Cedar Rapids; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; siblings Larry, Judy, Bobby and Paul.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery, rural Deep River. Memorials may be given to the Brooklyn Community Estates. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
