WHAT CHEER-Dawson Christopher Vermillion, infant son of Chris and Melanie Vermillion, of What Cheer, was born and died on Sunday, February 18, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Survivors include his parents: Chris and Melanie Vermillion of What Cheer; three siblings: Brandon and Kayla Vermillion and Ryan Gallardo; grandparents: Hal and Vicki Fritchen of Sigourney, Ron and Deb Repp of Sigourney and Margaret Ballard of De Soto, Missouri and great grandparents: Phyllis Fritchen of Ollie and Dale Robnett of Albia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2007, at the Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel in Sigourney. Burial will be at Garrett Cemetery near Delta. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at the funeral chapel. Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service in Sigourney is handling the arrangements.
