David "Moto" Jaeger

Keota- David "Moto" Jaeger was born March 26, 1958, in Washington, Iowa the son of Kenneth and Genevieve (Peiffer) Jaeger. He graduated from Keota High School in 1976. He has lived in the Keota area his whole life. On August 27, 1993, Moto was united in marriage to Barb Miller at their farm outside of Keota. Moto was a life long farmer. He enjoyed watching and participating in tractor pulling, golf, spending time with his family and friends, watching all sports, especially the Bronco's and playing 6 handed pepper at the Roost with friends. Moto enjoying life to the fullest. Moto passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at his home at the age of 59 Years.

Moto is survived by his wife: Barb of Keota; two daughters: Alexandra (Craig) Vorba of North Liberty and Courtney Jaeger of Washington; a granddaughter: Harpr Maggie Vorba; his mother: Genny Jaeger of Keota; six siblings: Linda Lillig of Omaha, NE, Karyl (Del) Miller of West Branch; Cynthia (Steve) Partridge of Norwalk; Colleen (Kim) Roberston of Dunlap Il, Doug Jaeger of Keota and Jerome (Katherine) Jaeger of South English; a sister-in-law: Becky Jaeger of Fairfield and many nieces and nephew whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his father in 2006, a brothe,r Ambrose Jaeger and brother-in-law, Michael Lillig.


Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Holy Trinity Parish- St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Charles Fladung will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a wake service at 3:30 at Holy Trinity Parish- St. Mary's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Washington County Hospice, Keota Fire Department or Keota QRS. Powell Funeral Home is caring for Moto and his family.
