David Lee Wade

May 15, 1938 — June 11, 2015

Keswick- David Lee Wade, was born May 15, 1938, in Millersburg, Iowa, the son of Verl "Pete" & Gladys (Goodman) Wade. He graduated from North English High School and served in the US Air Force. On March 15, 1980 David was united in marriage to Janet LaVere Cheney in Cedar Rapids. He worked for over 44 years for Kaiser & Douds Stone. David was a member of the Keswick United Methodist Church, Keswick James Murphy American Legion Post #319, Shriners and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He enjoyed gardening and coffee with his buddies. David died on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at his home in Keswick at the age of 77 years.

He is survived by his wife Janet of Keswick; his children: Bobbie Jo (Neil) Wade-Kracht of Sigourney, Renee (Robert Smith) Brown of Waterloo, Steve (Crystal) Foubert of Chino Valley, AZ and Michele (Ron VanBeek) Schultz of Orange City; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister Marna Cox; a brother-in-law Walt Dean (Becky) Cheney, of Cedar Rapids; and his cat Morris. He was preceded by his parents; two daughters Christine Ann Wade and Kimberly Jo (Wade) Miller; and a brother-in-law William Cox.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Keswick United Methodist Church. Pastor John Tunnicliff will officiate. Burial will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
