Dr. David J. Graber D.C. was born November 20, 1933 in Arthur, Illinois, son of Joe S. and Sarah (Troyer) Graber. On April 15, 1954 he was united in marriage to Anna Mae Herschberger. They lived in Illinois, Colorado and Iowa, moving to Kalona in 1995, where he worked as a Chiropractor. He was a member of the Christian Chiropractor Association through which he took three service trips to Jamaica. He attended Kalona Mennonite Church. David passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at his home in Kalona at the age of 77. David is survived by his wife Anna Mae Graber of Kalona; a daughter Connie Ebersole (Lee) of Kalona, two sons Joseph Graber (Ginger Hilburn) of Frisco, Texas, and David Graber (Dawn) of Tiffin; eight grandchildren; a step-mother Katie Graber of Arthur, Illinois; two sisters Irma Helmuth and Mary Miller both from Arthur, Illinois, and a brother Henry Graber of Sarasota, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Alvin Graber and a granddaughter Sara Ebersole. Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2011 at Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona. Rev. Scott Swartzendruber and Rev. Mick Murray will officiate. Burial will be at Sharon Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10:00 a..m. Sunday at the Yoder-Powell Funeral home in Kalona where the family will be present from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Youth for Christ.
