David George Denison was born on May 6, 1948 in Williamsburg, IA, the son of George S. (Bud) and Lucille S. Kelley Denison. He graduated from English Valleys High School in North English in 1966. David served two tours of duty with the US Army in Viet Nam and also served in Korea. He returned to Iowa where he worked construction and several other jobs. He was united in marriage to Denise Croy on June 28, 1986 in Hills, IA. They moved to North English area in 1988. David was a member of the Parnell VFW. He loved to hunt. David died following a sudden illness at his home near North English on Tuesday, August 22, 2006. David lived 58 years, 3 months and 16 days. He is survived by his wife Denise Denison of North English; daughter Mayla Denison of Ottumwa, IA; sons Troy Denison of Cedar Rapids, IA and Ryan Denison of St. Joseph, MO; sisters: Connie Costas of Illinois City, IL and Louise Holden of North English, IA; brothers Lyle Denison and Lynn Denison both of North English, IA; A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM Friday at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English with Pastor Edwin Jordan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until service time at 5:00 PM on Friday. His ashes will be scattered at a later date.In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
