Danny Lee Hubbell, age 54, of Brooklyn, passed away, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at his home. Funeral services: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery, rural Deep River. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Memorials made be contributed to the K-9 Search and Rescue Unit, in Montezuma.
Danny was survived by his mother Carol; two sisters Cindy (Jeff) Wade, of North English and Theresa (Dave) Slaymaker, of Brooklyn; five nieces Nicole, Amber, Cheryl, Hilary and Shaylee; a nephew Shane; seven great nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives and friends; and his beloved dogs. He was preceded in death by his father Albert, step-father Vernon, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Danny was born July 21, 1964, in Marengo, Iowa, the son of Albert and Carol Bair Hubbell. He grew up in the Guernsey and Brooklyn area. Danny graduated in 1983 from BGM High School. He worked at Brooklyn Grocery, Star Inn Gas Station, Amana Refrigeration, and was currently working at Montezuma Manufacturing for 25 years. Danny enjoyed stained glass artwork, and watching Si-Fi movies. He especially loved his dogs and visiting with family and friends.
