Damon Lee Timmerman, 50, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Henry County Health Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Assembly of God Church, 109 W. South Street, Mt. Pleasant, with Pastor Walt Graffam, officiating. A memorial has been established, and may be directed towards the family. Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born September 12, 1962, in Davenport, IA, Damon was the son of Richard and Fonda (Flynn) Timmerman. He was a 1982 graduate of Davenport West High School. On February 14, 2003, he married Melodee R. Healy in Keokuk, IA. Damon moved to Mt. Pleasant 16 years ago where he was employed as a production worker at Lomont Manufacturing and, most recently, at Metromail. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Favorite hobbies included fishing and going sledding with his children. In his earlier years he enjoyed attending stock car races. He loved to grill and practice his culinary projects with his family and friends. He was a Chicago Bears fan. Along with his wife, Melodee, survivors include his parents of Davenport, IA; a daughter, Holly Timmerman; a son, Cody Timmerman; a granddaughter, Khloe Timmerman, all of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a brother, Rick Timmerman of California; and a sister, Rana Zuber of Davenport, IA. Preceding Damon in death are his grandparents.
