Connie Fisher

HEDRICK-Connie Fisher, age 75, of Hedrick, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at her home.
Connie was born May 5, 1942, in Sigourney, to Leslie Hollis and Esther (Stein) Reynolds and grew up in the Hayesville area. She graduated from Sigourney High School and American Institute of Business in Des Moines. Connie married William Earl Gibson, Jr. at the Little Brown Church in Nashua and the couple lived in Des Moines. Bill died in 1977 and Connie later moved to Eldridge. While in Eldridge, she worked in the office at Hormel in Davenport. Connie retired to Hedrick in 1992. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed her cats, Facebook, online shopping and collecting recipes.
Survivors include three children: Grant (Ryan) Gibson of Pickerington, Ohio, Gail Miklasz of Flushing, Michigan and Kathryn (Patrick) Mawhinney of Sherwood, Oregon; six grandchildren: Kenny Miklasz, II, Joseph Miklasz, Braden Gibson, Evan Gibson, Brinna Mawhinney and Logan Mawhinny. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bill; brother: Ted and son-in-law: Kenny Miklasz.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial will be at Pennington Cemetery in rural Sigourney. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the funeral home.
