Cleo Francis “Casey” Jones

Cleo Francis “Casey” Jones, age 87, of Brooklyn, passed away February 11, 2021 at Brooklyn Community Estate. There are currently no services set at this time. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is assisting the family with arrangements.

Casey is survived by a daughter Barbara Jones, of Minneapolis, MN; a grandson Cory (Ashley) Jones, of Rosemount, MN; and three great-grandchildren Dylan, Abby and Anastasia Jones, of Rosemount, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents Ansel and Velma Jones, two sisters, Leta Sullivan and Lucille Sickels, and a brother Ervin Jones.

Casey was born November 14, 1933, in Redding, Iowa, the son of Ansel and Velma Jones. He graduated from Redding High School.  Casey was a high school basketball standout. He was a truck driver and hauled livestock. Casey was an animal lover. He enjoyed riding horses and spending time with them as well as dogs. He would bring home sick farm animals, care for them and sell them when they were healthier. Casey was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Men’s Basketball fan.
