Christine Davis

KALONA - Christine Grace Davis was born July 22, 1955 in Texas, the daughter of William and Delores (Cramer) Blanchard. On August 4, 1997 she was united in marriage to Virgil Davis in Texas. They lived in Texas, Wellman, Iowa City and Kalona since 2013. Christine enjoyed reading, watching cooking shows and eating out. Christine passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 63 years.
She is survived by her husband Virgil Davis of Kalona; 4 children: Sarah (Paul) Powell of Washington, Iowa; Karl (Kristina) Davis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Konrad Hoewing of Tennessee; Katie (Charlie) Johnson of Tennessee; 6 granddaughters: Alison, Mackenzie, Emily, Eva, Karle and Elizabeth; her mother Delores Blanchard of Tennessee; a sister Maggie Brosi of Tennessee; and a brother Butch Blanchard of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. There will be no formal service. A general memorial fund has been established.
