Christie Romoser

KEOTA-Christie Lynn Romoser, age 72, of Keota, died Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her home.
    Christie was born June 14, 1951, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Walter and Ellen (Lerdall) Tollenaer.  As a child she moved with her family to Arapaho, Nebraska, then to Eustice, Nebraska, where she graduated from High School.  In 1969, Christie married Gary Darnall in Nebraska.  They were later divorced.  She moved to Keota in 1985 and married Butch Romoser.  They farmed in Montana for 10 years before returning to Keota where Christie worked as a clerk at Keota Eagle Foods for several years.  Christie served on the Wilson Memorial Library Board and enjoyed reading and spending time with Butch.
    Survivors include two children: Kent Darnall of Raytown, Missouri and Heidi Applegate of Keota; four step children: Andy Romoser, Brett Romoser, Chad Romoser and Jodi Swift; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister: Lori Menze Woldum.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Butch in 2009 and sister: Vicki Gerrat.

    Her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy.  There are no services planned at this time.
