NORTH ENGLISH-Charlotte Ann McCammant, age 87, of North English, died Friday, September 3, 2021, at the English Valley Care Center.
Charlotte was born February 23, 1934, in Cosgrove, to Ora "Pat" and Wilma (Ealy) Rupp and received her education in Belle Plaine schools. In 1956, she married Albert "Mike" McCammant at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Charlotte was a stay at home mom until her boys graduated. She then worked at Sheller Globe in Iowa City, Amana Refrigeration, was an Elementary Associate at Deep River - Millersburg Schools and worked in the dietary department at English Valley Care Center. She was a member of Millersburg United Methodist Church, the Red Hats and a Quilter's Club. Charlotte enjoyed baking, gardening, playing cards, traveling, music and being involved in the community.
Survivors include three sons: Mike McCammant of Ladora, Albert (Mary) McCammant of Keswick and Joe McCammant of North English; 10 grandchildren: Melissa McCammant, Carrie McCammant, Jodi (Jennifer) Morrissey, Laura McCammant, Seth McCammant, Andrea (Brett) Dose, Travis McCammant, Johannah (Jacob) Nanke, Angela (Jason) Roberts and Noah McCammant; nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Diane (Kenny) Bair of Belle Plaine and Lola Kasal of Belle Plaine and five brothers: Les Rupp of Lodi, California, Denny Rupp of Shantytown, California, Rick (Jackie) Rupp of Luzerne, Greg Rupp of New Orleans, Louisiana and LeRoy Rupp of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Mike in 1991; three brothers: Paul, Nathan and Stanley Rupp; two sisters: Joyce Wright and Margaret Steinbaugh and daughter-in-law: Brenda McCammant.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the Millersburg United Methodist Church, with Pastor Michelle Williamson officiating. The service will also be livestreamed on the Powell Funeral Home facebook page. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.
