Charlotte Kerkman, of Blairstown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the age of three months and seven days. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Blairstown American Legion with Rev. Diane Vorhies officiating. Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Blairstown American Legion. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family with arrangements.
Charlie is survived by her loving parents Joe Kerkman and Sam Hansen, of Blairstown; her big brother Memphis, of Blairstown; her paternal grandma Danielle Kerkman, of Blairstown; her maternal grandfathers, Clay Haack and Dave Gasper, of Blairstown; paternal great-grandparents, Mike (Lorraine) Kerkman, of Van Horne; maternal great-grandmother Diana Buhr, of Blairstown; two aunts, Brandy (Travis) Horner, of Blairstown and Bailey Kerkman, of Dysart; her uncles Justin Hansen and Danny Gasper of Blairstown; also surviving are many other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother LuAnn Hansen, her maternal great-grandfather, Frank Buhr, and his twins Danny and David, a great-aunt Glenda Kerkman, and a great-uncle Joe Clifton.
Charlotte LuAnn Alynn Kerkman, was born January 29, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Charlie had a perfect little smile and was a blessing to her family. Her giggle would warm the hearts of those around her.
