Charline Elaine Greenlee

North English- Charline Elaine Greenlee was born October 21, 1953 in Monette, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles Leo & Annabell (Whisenant) Allen. She grew up in Arkansas until 13 when they moved to Iowa. She graduated from North English High School in 1972. On July 18, 1972 Charline was united in marriage to Mark G Greenlee in South English, Iowa. She worked at various places over the years including Pride of Iowa and Oral B. She enjoyed fishing, going to the casinos, baking pies & bread and she loved to make and share her crafts. Charline died on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the English Valley Care Center at the age of 68 years.

She is survived by her husband Mark Greenlee; son Richard (Danielle) Greenlee; daughter Patricia (David) Moxley all of North English; five grandchildren Colton (Alysha), Devin & Rayna Greenlee and Anthony (Ily) & Rusty Moxley; a great grandson Lukas; four sisters Marilyn (Junior) Folkers of Central City, Becky (Gary) Wickenkamp of Keota, Linda (Randy) Schmuecker of Blairstown and Jannett (Chuck) Bogard of Central City; a brother Charles (Kathy) Allen of Numa; her mother Annabell Allen of North English; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her father.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00 -7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the North English Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the University Of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Transplant Unit. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
