Charlie H. Snow was born on August 23, 1946, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Henry and Mary Anders Snow. He grew up in the Washington community and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. On August 7, 1993, Charlie married Sandy K. Moore in Washington, Iowa. They made their home in Washington, North English and for the past seven years in Millersburg. Charlie worked many years for the Gulf Pipeline near West Chester, was a truck driver and had lately served as Officer in Charge at the Millersburg Post Office. His passions in life were his family, old motorcycles, and working on old motorcycles with his close friend Gary Hash of Brooklyn, Iowa. He was a member of the Millersburg American Legion. Charlie died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Millersburg on Monday, April 21, 2014. He was 67 years young. He is survived by his wife Sandy of Millersburg; five daughters: Annette Snow of Albia, IA; Wendy (Kevin) Bridges of Laneville, TX; Shelia Greene of North English; Ia; Christine Mullin of North English, IA; Stephanie McCauley & fiancé Steve Myers of Cedar Rapids, IA; 14 grandchildren: and 4 great grandchildren. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tammy, two sisters and three brothers. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Millersburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Michelle Williamson officiating. There will be no visitation or burial at this time. A time of fellowship and a luncheon will follow in the church basement. Powell Funeral Home, North English is in charge of arrangements.
