Charles Sisk

Charles E. Sisk, 80, of Keokuk, IA, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019, at River Hills Village.

Upon his request, Mr. Sisk has been cremated. There will be no visitation. A private inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Keokuk. Gifts of love and friendship may be given to United Presbyterian Church, and may be mailed to Olson~Powell Memorial Chapel, P.O. Box 656, Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641. Born October 30, 1938, in Marianna, AR, Charles Eugene was the son of Lowell and Estella Sisk. His family moved to the Montrose area when he was 12 years old. Charles was a 1957 graduate of Montrose High School. He served in the Iowa National Guard for six years. On September 17, 1960, Charles married Sandra Sue Swan in Keokuk.

For thirty-three years Charles worked in the maintenance department at Roquette, retiring in 1996. Following retirement, he enjoyed wintering in southern Texas for twenty-two years.

Charles was a member of the Keokuk Elks Club. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting with his father and friends. He liked playing golf, along with being a St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR racing fan.

Along with his loving wife, Sandra, of fifty-eight years, Charles is survived by two sons, Mike (Jacolyn) Sisk of Salem, IA and Tim Sisk of Keokuk, IA; one brother, Lennie (Hilda) Sisk of Davenport, IA; and two sisters, Alphia (Greg) Lang of Donnellson, IA and Betty (Mike) Carle of Ft. Madison, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Charles in death are his parents; a brother, Gene (Linda) Sisk; and a sister, Alice (Terry) Picton.
