WHAT CHEER-Charles E. Teffeau, age 59, died of cancer Sunday, December 26, 2004, at his residence in rural What Cheer. Charles was born February 15, 1945, in Salem, New Jersey, to William and Julia (Teffeau) Lewis. He married Bonnie DeVore in Elkton, Maryland in April of 1965. The couple lived in Delaware until moving to the Sigourney area in 1989. They then moved to Jacksonville, North Carolina. Charles returned to Sigourney to spend the holidays with his family and became ill. Charles was a member of the 29 X-ray Club and the Mid-Iowa C.B. Club. His handle was "Woodchuck". He enjoyed fishing, drawing, making lawn ornaments, talking on the radio and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife: Bonnie of What Cheer; four children: Charles Teffeau, Jr. and wife Amy of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Tina Ritenour and husband Bryan of What Cheer, Laura May Adkins and husband Darren of Salisbury, Maryland and Julie Brasure and husband Dean of Georgetown, Delaware; 15 grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to his family. Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service in Sigourney is handling the arrangements.
