Kalona

Kalona- Chantelle Danae Gingerich was born March 17, 1983 in Millersburg, Ohio to Randall and Marilyn (Hershberger) Troyer. She graduated from Maranatha Christian School in 2001.

Chantelle lived in Ohio, Indiana, and ending up in Iowa. On May 17, 2014 Chantelle was united in marriage to Victor Gingerich at Griner Church in Middlebury, Indiana. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Kalona. Chantelle was known as a gifted, funny, vibrant, and inviting personality who loved to laugh. She enjoyed bringing beauty and order into spaces and events through her decoration and organizational skills. She used these skills in making her home an inviting and beautiful place. She also was involved in numerous events such as coordinating weddings, heading up Pathway Christian School's yearly carnival, decorating her church, and in general bringing beauty and vitality to everything she touched. Chantelle loved to invest in the next generation and was a favorite counselor at Youth Fellowship Camp near Goshen, Indiana for many years. She led Bible studies for young girls and was also involved in the Restore girls retreat. She also brought her organizational skills into the Gingerich Tiling & Earthmoving office as an office manager. Chantelle was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer at the beginning of April. She fought hard and loved her family well right up to the end. Being a wife and mothering her little boys were some of her greatest passions and she will be deeply and profoundly missed.
