Marengo- Chad Richard Evans, was born November 13, 1973, in Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Richard H & Kimbra R. (Walter) Evans. He attended school in Williamsburg and worked in the construction business. In July 2010 he married Eva Hough in Las Vegas. Chad was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family, especially his daughter Meta and stepsons Gavin & Ebin. Chad died of an apparent heart attack on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in Marengo, at the age of 39 years. He is survived by his daughter Meta Evans of Norway; 2 stepsons: Gavin & Ebin Farmacoulas of Norway; his parents: Kim (Terry) Gorsh of Boone and Richard (Julie) Evans of Williamsburg; siblings: Jessica (Shawn) Stimmel of Cedar Rapids, Emmy (Eric) Quaintance of Solon, Jacob Escher of Boone, Elizabeth Evans of Iowa City and Nathan and Wyatt Evans both of Williamsburg; and his grandparents Orville & Rita Walter of Homestead and Carl Evans of Iowa City. He was preceded by his grandma Patricia Evans; a sister Rachel Evans and a brother Calvin Evans. Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Rev. Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Harrington Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 PM until service time at the Powell Funeral Home.
