Catherine Kaye Leach was born Monday, February 10, 1958 the daughter of Simon and Martha (Yoder) Mullet. She graduated from Iowa Mennonite High School in 1976 and attended Circleville Bible College in Circleville, Ohio. On June 2, 1979 she was united in marriage to Jeff Leach at the East Union Mennonite Church. She has lived in the Kalona Community all of her life where she worked as office manager of the Kalona Sales Barn for 20 years, and was currently the manager of the Kalona Golf Course. She was a member of the Kalona Christian Fellowship Church. Cathy died on Friday, December 23, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City from complications of surgery. Cathy is survived by her husband Jeff of Kalona; a son - Nicholas of Iowa City; 2 sisters - Wanda Rediger and husband Larry of Wellman; Letha Yoder and husband Sheldon of Kalona; a brother - Gary Mullet and wife Charlene of Belton, Missouri; a sister-in-law Pat Strabala and husband Jerry of Washington; step-mother - Ida Mullet of Kalona; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother - Dene Mullet.
