Carol Mullen

Wellman- Carol Ann Mullen was born August 15, 1961, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Donna (Murphy) Bush. She graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1979. On March 31, 1984, Carol was united in marriage to Ronald Mullen at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wellman. Carol worked at the University Of Iowa Hospital and Clinics as a Clerk in the Neurology Clinic. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wellman. Carol enjoyed gardening, antiques and family gatherings. Carol passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the age of 56 years.

Carol is survived by her husband Ronald Mullen of Wellman, two children: Ashley Mullen of Cedar Rapids and Lucas Mullen of Ankeny; her mother Donna Bush of Wellman, and three sisters: Karen (Bob) Christner of Kalona, Janice (Dennis "Gary") Groff of Millersburg and Brenda (Merlin) Hershberger of Wellman; brother-in-law Mark (Lori) Mullen of Pella, sisters-in-law: Teresa (Tom) Meyer of Iowa City, Elaine Mullen of Des Moines, Valerie Walsh of Storm Lake, Mary Jo (Fran) Marron of Storm Lake, Candy Mullen of Fonda, and Vicki Mullen of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Don Bush, grandparents Marjorie and James Murphy, Welcome and Cyrus Bush, in-laws Marjorie and Peter Mullen, brothers-in-law: Peter Mullen, John Mullen, James Mullen, sister-in-law Jeanie Mullen, brother-in-law Larry Walsh, and nephew Jason Walsh.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am Monday, February 5, 2018, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wellman. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman where a Vigil Service will be held at 4:00 PM. A general memorial has been established.
