Carol Marie McArtor was born on September 8, 1955 in Williamsburg, IA, the daughter of Charles (Chub) and Dorothy Healy Kleinmeyer. She attended school in Williamsburg and graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1973. Carol married Charles McArtor on May 4, 1996, at the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg. She was employed by Eye Physicians and Surgeons of Iowa City for 28 years. Carol loved her work, the people she worked for and with, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and her pets. Carol died on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at her home and in the arms of her husband, when the Lord called for another angel She endured a courageous six year battle with cancer at the age of 49 years, 4 months and 29 days. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 10, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg with Rev. James Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 6 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg on Sunday, January 9th. Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Homes and Cremation Service are caring for services. She is survived by her husband Charles McArtor of Williamsburg; a daughter Sheridan Boshart of Iowa City; parents Charles (Chub) & Dorothy Kleinmeyer of Williamsburg; and a brother Mike Kleinmeyer and his wife Claudia of Williamsburg.
