Carol Marie Knipfer

North English- Carol Marie Knipfer was born December 24, 1940 in Hayesville, Iowa, the daughter of Waldo B. & Minnie Marie (Batterson) Henson. She graduated from North English High School in 1958. On June 7, 1960 Carol was united in marriage to Ross E. Knipfer at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, crafts, gardening, decorating cakes and helping Ross with the dairy cows. Carol passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City at the age of 75 years.

She is survived by her husband Ross; four children: Sandy (Leonard) Phillips, David (Mary Beth) Knipfer, Vicki (Rick) Sherman all of North English and Darren (Beth) Knipfer of Cedar Rapids; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother Richard "Waldo" (Ruthi) Henson of North English; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents.
