Carol A. Kadello

Carol A. Kadello, age 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be contributed in Carol’s name to the Cedar Valley Humane Society, 7411 Mt. Vernon Rd S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403, or sent to the family in care of Kloster Funeral Home, 298 W. Washington St., Marengo, Iowa 52301.

Carol is survived by her children, Rick (Sheri) Kadello, of Larkfield, California, and Vicky (Cindy) Grimm, of Marengo; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jared) Tinaza, Sophie Kadello, Ashley (Ryan) Cooper and Billy (Christie) Jarrell; seven great-grandchildren, Philip, Devynn, Marcus, Liam, Thorin, Tien and Aleena; her life partner, Steve Mawhorter; her brother Fred Lagomarsino; a sister Joanne Serven; and her beloved pitbull, Diamond. She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. Lagomarsino and Anita P. Iserninn-Piezzi, her first husband Larry S. Kadello, a brother Robert G. Lagomarsino, and step-father Frank “Bing” Piezzi.

Carol Anita Lagomarsino was born April 13, 1939, in Santa Rosa, California, the daughter of the late George Lagomarsino and Anita Iserninn-Piezzi. She married Larry Kadello on October 11, 1959. The couple made their home in California and were blessed with two children, Rick and Vicky. Carol continued to live in California until moving to Iowa to be closer to her family. She enjoyed crafting, gardening vegetables and flowers, camping and fishing.
