Carl A. Bryan was born December 15, 1933 near Montour, Iowa the son of Walter "Sam" and Violet (Paxton) Bryan. He attended Toledo High School. He served in the Army from 1956-1958. On November 23, 1960 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Babinat near Buckingham, Iowa. They lived near Toledo until purchasing a farm near Parnell in March of 1970 where they farmed and lived until moving to Princeton, Missouri in 1997. He enjoyed attending livestock auctions whenever it was possible. Carl died suddenly on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillocothe, Missouri at the age of 73 years. Carl is survived by his wife Mary Ann Bryan of Princeton, Missouri; two sons - Jerry Bryan and special friend Tammy Vest of Wellman; Jon Bryan of Princeton, Missouri; a daughter - Carol Bryan of Marion; and three sisters - Shirley Uchytil of Tama; Marilyn Hack of Traer; and Marlene Heckt of Dysart. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Darrell, and a sister Gladys Konicek.
