A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Cari Lynn Haworth was born on November 3, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Allen V. and Betty L. Swenson Haworth. Cari graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1981. She was married a short time to Terry Van Dee. Cari was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a hardworking woman and enjoyed working around her home, macrame and crafts, working with her car, being with friends, and camping. She was also a licensed Locksmith. Cari died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 50 years. She is survived by a daughter Brittany Haworth of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter Anathasia Lynn Haworth of Cedar Rapids; her parents Allen and Betty of Williamsburg, a brother Brad (Marsha) Haworth of Williamsburg; a niece Abby Haworth and step nieces Nicole and Bobbi Allar of Williamsburg. Cari was preceded in death by her grandparents and an uncle Bob Swenson.
