KEOTA-Cameron White, age 27, of Keota, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, the result of a work accident.
Cameron was born August 9, 1991, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, to Rodney and Lisa (Zelinski) White and graduated from Keota High School in 2010. He worked as a hired man for Dan Flynn, Kuenster Heating and Air Conditioning and was currently employed at Kalona Tire. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the Knights of Columbus. A lifelong resident of Keota, Cameron had a strong work ethic and a stronger opinion on politics. He enjoyed dancing, singing, hunting, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Miami Dolphins and always being right.
Survivors include his parents: Rodney and Lisa White of Keota; two sisters: Alyssa White of Sigourney and Rachel White of Iowa City; grandmother: Linda Zelinski of Fairfield; dogs: Lola and Jake; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Marcella White and Harold "Zeke" Zelinski and dog Levi.
Memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. A celebration of Cameron's life will follow at Lagos Acres in Keota, where there will be dinner, drinks and dance.
