Bonnie Seager, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Monday, December 1, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Open visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2008, from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel. There will be no family visitation. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2008, at the Faith Christian Outreach Church with Pastor Monte Knudsen officiating. A private family burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Faith Christian Outreach Church and the Henry County Animal Rescue Organization. The daughter of John D. and Bessie V. Heinbaugh Belles, Bonnie June was born on February 12, 1930, in Blakesburg, IA. In 1941, her family moved to New London, IA. She was a 1948 graduate of New London High School. Bonnie married Cloyce Seager on November 12, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2003. Following graduation, Bonnie worked for Shaffer Pen in Mt. Pleasant until 1954, at which time she began working for Champion Spark Plug in Burlington, IA. In 1974, Bonnie went to work for Lomont Molding and has worked there for the past 34 years as a secretary. She and her husband, Cloyce, owned and operated Iris City Antiques from 1986 until 2004. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cooking with her daughter. She enjoyed attending church at The Faith Christian Outreach Church, working, and spoiling her three granddogs. Bonnie liked spending time working in her yard and especially with her flowers. She enjoyed shopping and collecting Eisenburg Christmas Pins. Survivors include one daughter Soni and her husband Corey Scott of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and one brother Larry Belles of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by three nephews and one niece. Along with her husband, Cloyce, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ted L. Belles.
