Bonnie Jean Dusil

Williamsburg- Bonnie Jean Dusil was born October 4, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Maxfield & Lucille (Jensen) Gantz. She attended school in Cedar Rapids. On October 26, 1963, Bonnie was united in marriage to Duane Gene Dusil in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed knitting, fishing, drawing, coloring, playing cards and doing puzzles. Bonnie died on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 88 years.

She is survived by her children: Gene Dusil of Walford, Ronald Dusil of Cedar Rapids, Shirley Gantz of Cedar Rapids and Debbie Sartain of Stayton, OR; numerous grandchildren including Cameron Dusil, Macy Dusil, Cody Van Dusen, Brittany Dusil, Jennifer Fetter and Brent Watson; numerous great and great, great grandchildren; her sisters Dixie Van Dorn and Norma Brannaman; numerous nieces and nephews; and her family at Optimae. She was preceded by her parents; husband Duane; and two great, great grandchildren Tyler Dundee and Kierstyn Watson. 

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 am on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2:00 -4:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
