Billy B. Mouchka, age 68, of Holiday Lake, Brooklyn, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. There will be no services at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Kloster Funeral Home 605 Jackson St. Brooklyn, Iowa 52211. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is caring for Billy and his family.
Billy is survived by his wife of 50 years Debbie Mouchka; his sons, Benny Mouchka, Jeremy (Kristin) Mouchka, Dustin Mouchka, and Brandon Mouchka; six grandchildren; Brooke Mouchka, Breanan Mouchka, Becca Mouchka, Kyler Mouchka, Brianna Mouchka, and Adalynn Barnell; a sister Patsy Sutphin; two Miniature Pinschers Bruttes and Chalese; and Jeremy’s Frenchie fur babies Chloe and Lily.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters Dorothy Miller, Janet Stull, and Betty Jean Mangano.
Billy Ben Mouchka was born May 10, 1955, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the son of Benny and Lydia Fisher Mouchka. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1973. Billy was united in marriage to Deborah Eggebrecht on June 8, 1974, in Belle Plaine. He completed his electrical apprenticeship in Hammond, Indiana. Billy worked for the International Bureau of Electrical Workers #647 in Hammond, Indiana for 10 years. The couple then moved to Holiday Lake in 2000, where he worked for the IBEW #397 in Des Moines for 15 years. Billy loved his cars, especially his 1957 Chevy, among his other cars including a 1967 and 1969 Chevelle. He enjoyed watching collegiate wrestling and collecting Civil War era antiques.
