Benton Arthur Meyer

Williamsburg-Benton Arthur Meyer was born 17 weeks early on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, to Matthew and Michelle (Landuyt) Meyer. Benton passed away in his parents arms surrounded by his grandparents on Thursday, May, 14, 2015 in Iowa City. He was 28 days old.

Benton is survived by his parents; a brother: Briggs Meyer; grandparents: Art & Barb Landuyt of Williamsburg and George & Ellen Meyer of Strawberry Point; great grandmothers: Phyllis Caskey of Williamsburg and Ivanelle Bushaw of Strawberry Point; aunts and uncles: Dawn & Craig Goeldner of Indianola, Mandy Landuyt of Williamsburg, Amanda Meyer of New Haven, Connecticut, Becky & Chris Madsen of Cedar Rapids and Adam Meyer of North Liberty and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Norman "Hoppy" Caskey, Oscar & Margareta Landuyt, Delbert & Mildred Meyer, Don Bushaw, and an uncle Dan Meyer.

Celebration of Life Service will be 4:30 pm Monday, May 18, 2015 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Visitation will be 2:30 to 4:30 on Monday at the church. Private family burial will follow at Pilot Grove Cemetery near Williamsburg. A general memorial has been established in Benton's name. Powell Funeral Home is caring for Benton and his family.
