Williamsburg- Bernhard Otto Bringmann was born June 25, 1930 near Guernsey, Iowa, the son of Albert and Emma (Moller) Bringmann. Bennie was united in marriage to Mildred Tish on April 22, 1951 at the St. Paul Lutheran parsonage in Williamsburg. Bennie was a life long farmer, owned and operated Bringmann Welding and Repair and also worked at J & S Farm Supply before retiring. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed collecting Allis Chalmers tractors and toys, going to toy shows, flea markets, eating out for breakfast and spending time with family. Bennie died Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo at the age of 87 years.
He is survived by two sons: Dale (Paula) Bringmann and Brian Bringmann all of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mildred, son Larry, a brother Bill Bringmann and two sisters Frieda Strobel and Margaret Landuyt.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be in the Pilot Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Rose Haven Nursing Home.
