Arletta was born on October 18, 1920, near Sigourney, IA the daughter of Virgil H. and Anna (Winegarden) Fridley. She married W. Wayne Edmundson on February 8, 1939. Arletta was a homemaker and worked for a short time in the grocery store in South English. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marion and a member of the United Methodist Women and Rebecca Circle. Arletta was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed and remembered with much love. Arletta is survived by her daughters Dixie (Leland) Fry of Cedar Rapids and Sheryl Axmear of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren Kristin and Sara Fry of Cedar Rapids, Ethan and Molly Fry of Marion and Melissa and Nicholas Hill of Castle Rock, CO: great grandchildren Owen, Emily, Carter and Harper Fry and Olivia and Jacob Hill; a sister Alberta (Bernard) Volz of Grimes; sisters-in-law Ethyl Edmundson of Sigourney, Jessie Blaylock of North English, and Harriett (Gerald) Denison of Keswick; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law William T. Axmear.
