Annette Wright was born on March 17, 1967, in Bloomfield, Iowa, a daughter of Jim and Charlotte Baird Blackwell. She grew up in Bloomfield and graduated from Davis County High School in 1985. Annette was united in marriage to Wayne Wright on September 28, 2002,in Ottumwa, Iowa. They have lived in Parnell since their marriage. Annette worked at Rockwell in Coralville and at Whirlpool Refrigeration in Amana. She loved spending time with her daughters and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Annette died following a long battle with cancer on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She is survived by her husband Wayne Wright of Parnell; daughters Ashley Wright and fiancee Don Sly of Ottumwa, Miranda Wright and Lauryn Wright at home; grandchildren Braydon and Austin Sly both of Ottumwa; her parents Jim and Charlotte Blackwell of Bloomfield; sisters Lisa (Dickie) Bish of Bloomfield and Rhonda (Joey) Fenton of Udell; mother-in-law Delores Wright and father-in-law Larry Wright, both of Agency. Annette was preceded in death by her grandparents. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg with Ray Davies officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 15th from 4 PM to 8 PM. Burial will be in the Yankee Point Cemetery, rural North English.
