Anne L. Nicholls

WELLMAN - Anne Laurette Nicholls was born June 3, 1944 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert and Betty (Walther) Nicholls. She graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1963. Anne has lived in the Wellman community most all of her life. She worked in the kitchen at Shenk Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where she was active with Friendly Circle and she sang in the choir. She also was a member of the Red Hat Ladiesand enjoyed going to the Wellman Senior Center. Anne died on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Silver Pond Assisted Living in Wellman at the age of 72 years.
Anne is survived by 3 brothers: Jerry (Judy) Nicholls of Marco, Island, Florida; Don (Judy) Nicholls of Cedar Rapids; Mike (Priscilla) Nicholls of North Liberty; and a sister Julie (Phillip) Stephens of Buckner, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents.


Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman. Pastor Moody Colorado will officiate. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-6 PM on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman.
