Anna Honts

Anna D. Honts, 83, of Washington, IA, died Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Washington County Hospital. According to her wishes, Anna has been cremated. There will be no formal services. A memorial (Anna Honts Memorial) has been established in Anna's memory and can be mailed to or dropped off at New Attitude, 105 South Marion, Washington, IA, 52353. The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel of Mt. Pleasant has assisted the family. Born February 27, 1931, in Fairfield, IA, Anna Darlene was the daughter of Albert and Margaret (McGuigan) Hill. She was educated in the Fairfield and Washington school systems. Anna was a homemaker. While living in Burlington, IA, she waitressed at area restaurants. A voracious reader, Anna especially enjoyed reading mysteries and her family's genealogy records. She kept up with her loved ones and friends through Facebook. Anna enjoyed crocheting and made numerous afghans for family members. Survivors include four daughters, Linda Conner of Sallisaw, OK, Terri Stone of Washington, IA, Kimberly Drayfahl of Washington, IA, and Julianna Hutson of Washington, IA. She is also survived by two siblings, nineteen grandchildren, and numerous great -grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Anna was preceded in death by a husband, Roy Honts, and several siblings.
