North English- Andrew William McGuire was born August 5, 1973, in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Kenneth Lloyd & Leatrice Ann (Moessner) McGuire. He graduated from Deep-River Millersburg Schools in 1991. Andy served in the US Navy for 6 years. He worked many years for the Keokuk County Secondary Roads Department. Andy was a member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church and the Millersburg American Legion Post #521. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing. Andy died on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at his home in North English, at the age of 51 years.


He is survived by his wife Beth Carter of North English; step-children: Brandon Kleinmeyer of South English, Jeremy Kleinmeyer of Mt Vernon and Cassidy Carter of Millersburg; seven step grandchildren; parents Kenneth and Leatrice McGuire of Millersburg; a sister Sara Trimpe of Millersburg; nephew Gabe (Taylor) Trimpe; niece Madison Trimpe; his beloved dogs Sassy, Dotty and Doc; mother-in-law Ann Popham; father-in-law Thomas (Nicole) Carter and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded by his grandparents; a step-grandson Stetson; and two uncles Randy Moessner and Carl McGuire.


A celebration of life service will be held in Andy’s honor from 1:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Millersburg Community Center. A private family burial will be held in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home in North English is caring for Andy and his family. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
