Williamsburg, formerly of Keota- Andrea Jean Greiner was born July 11, 1979 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin Francis and Kathryn Louise (Boyd) Greiner. She was a 1997 graduate of Keota High School. She worked at Whirlpool Amana for 14 years. Andrea grew up in the Keota area, lived in the Amana area and moved to Williamsburg in 2009, when she bought her acreage. She enjoyed socializing, playing cards, singing, animals, working on her house and being outside. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. Andrea died on Sunday, January 8, 2012, near Parnell, Iowa, at the age of 32 years. She is survived by her father: Marvin F (Jeannie) Greiner of Keota, IA; mother: Kathryn Boyd Greiner of Marion, IA; 5 siblings: Kelly (Laura) Greiner of Carthage, IL, Jamie Greiner (Lyndal Olson) of McCallsburg, IA, Scott (Amy) Greiner of Washington, IA, Ryan (Joy) Greiner and Alicia Greiner (Natalie) all of Cedar Rapids, IA; a step sister Jennifer Wade of Winfield, IA; step brother: Joshua (Melissa) Pearce of Bushnell, IL; special friend Jake Vance of Williamsburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dogs: Samantha Rae and Bosco. She was preceded in death by a brother: Casey Greiner; grandparents Cyril & Loretta Greiner and Paul & Fran Boyd. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the United Church of Faith, Keota, Iowa. Rev. Dennis Hopes will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Keota. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 - 7:00 PM, at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
