Andrea Lynn (Glover) Sartain ,40, of Williamsburg, VA, formerly of Salem, IA, died tragically Sunday, July 26, 2009, from injuries sustained in a car/motorcycle accident in Sierra Vista, AZ. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009, beginning after 12 noon, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel of Mt. Pleasant, IA, where the family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, August 24, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Andrea Glover Sartain Scholarship Fund. Born July 15, 1969, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, Andrea was the daughter of Gene and Jenny Bruggemeyer Glover. She was a 1988 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. On March 25, 1989, Andrea married Dean Sartain in Lawton, OK. He survives. A media assistant at Warhill High School, Andrea was an avid supporter of the track team and a special friend to many students. Andrea and her family worshiped at the Williamsburg Community Chapel for many years. She was a supportive Army wife and homemaker. Andrea was an avid motorcycle rider. She had just completed her first sky diving experience. Andrea loved animals and enjoyed horseback riding. She also liked fishing, crafts, gardening and travel. Along with her husband, Dean, Andrea is survived by two children, Alec Sartain and Brianne Sartain, of Williamsburg, VA; her parents, Gene and Jenny Glover of Salem, IA; a brother, Kris Glover and his wife, Rita of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a sister, Robin Mathews and her husband, Carl of Salem, IA; and her in-laws, Duane Sartain and Audrey Sartain both of Sierra Vista, AZ. Andrea is also survived by two grandmothers, Doris Glover and Arlene Bruggemeyer, both of Mt. Pleasant, IA, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Andrea was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Keith Glover and Charles Bruggemeyer.
