KALONA - Ana Benita Dehogues was born July 26, 1923 in Cuba the daughter of Jose and Maria (Ara) Pedraz. On December 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to Armando Dehogues in Havana, Cuba. They moved to Miami, Florida in October of 1962 and then to Kalona in February of 2002. Ana died on on Monday, October 29, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a long illness at the age of 84 years. Ana is survived by her husband Armando; two sons - Armando Dehogues, Jr.; Al Dehogues and wife Lois; 3 grandchildren - Alex, Will and Jacey Dehogues all of Kalona; and two sisters and a brother of Miami, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters. There will be no services.
