Allen W. Koehler, age 53, died following a lengthy illness at the V/A. Medical center in Iowa City on Friday, August 26, 2005. His body was cremated. The family will greet friends at the Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg, from 6 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday. August 30, 2005, with military rites at 7 PM. There will be no other services. Allen W. Koehler was born on May 1, 1952, in Concord, New Hampshire, the son of Charles and Kathryn B. Lamarre Koehler. He lived in Southern California and graduated from Gardena High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. On October 2, 1982 Allen married Joyce Hunziker in Las Vegas, NV. Allen worked as a painter and was an avid NASCAR fan. They moved to Williamsburg , IA in 1994. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Williamsburg, IA; a daughter Kodi Koehler of Cedar Rapids, IA; his mother Kathryn Koehler of Marysville, CA; a brother Paul Koehler of San Diego, CA; and a sister Nora Espino of Marysville, CA. Allen was preceded in death by his father and a brother Chuck Koehler
