Williamsburg- Agnes Meta Soedt was born Sunday, April 14, 1912 near Homestead, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Anna (VonWeihe) Huedepohl. She was baptized and confirmed at St John Lutheran Church and attended school at St John's parochial school. Agnes was united in marriage to Clark Soedt, July 25, 1937 at her parents home, near Homestead, Iowa. Together they were blessed with 3 daughters. She loved sewing and gardening. She was a member of the Ladies Aid. Agnes died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Colonial Manor in Amana, Iowa, after extended illness at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 21 days. Agnes is survived by her husband Clark of Amana; 3 daughters: Marjean (Raymond) Hansen of Davenport, Iowa, Joanne Happ of Marion, Iowa, and Jerilyn (James) Spizale of West Des Moines, Iowa; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons; 3 sisters: Norma McCoy, Flora Teggatz and Leona Wille all of Williamsburg, Iowa; and a brother: Clarence Huedepohl of Millersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters: Melva Wade, Dora Lorenz, Freida Jones and Linda Lorenz; 3 brothers: Alfred, Elmer and Walter; and a son-in-law Herman Happ. Celebration of Life Services will be held 12:30 pm Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the St Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 6 PM at the Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
